# About QuoteMatch Local

Compare local companies, then request quotes without starting over.

Last updated October 29, 2026

## Why QuoteMatch exists

Asking for quotes online usually means typing the same job into several forms, then getting calls from companies that don't do that kind of work. QuoteMatch Local puts the comparison and the request in one place: you see the companies first, then send one request to the ones that fit.

## What we do differently

- **You pick the recipients.** Every request lists the companies by name before anything is sent, with a separate consent box.
- **A published score.** Lists are ordered by public ratings, review volume, recent reviews, years in business and our record checks.
- **Dated record checks.** We show what we checked and when, and say so when we haven't checked something.
- **Public records.** License rules, fees and local figures come from state, county and federal sources, with dates and links.

## Who runs it

QuoteMatch Local is part of a small network of local directories. We add a city only when there are enough local companies to compare.

## How we're funded

Companies may pay per qualified request, by monthly package, or for a profile upgrade. Homeowners never pay. [The full details](https://quotematchlocal.com/how-we-make-money/).

## Our commitments

- You choose which companies receive a request.
- Payment never changes the order of a list.
- Facts come with a source and a date.
- Anyone can send a correction.
